I so agree with you…. now mix languages and it becomes priceless.
My 4 year old daughter is fully French/English bilingual and has started adding Spanish, Mandarin and Filipino words to her vocabulary… (We have a very, multi-ethnic daycare).
And what they focus on is incredible.
My 6 year old son (we share the same demographics it seems) told me his teacher has a Mac Air… I told him that was awesome… but when quizzed for more details, it was found out that what the teacher actually has is an Intra-Office Envelope… My son only assumes that there is a very thin computer in all of them… since that,s what he sees in the TV ad.

We actually remove 99 languages from every child when we teach them how to talk. Then sometimes we add languages later, which is kinda weird.
But imagine what the world would be like if those 99 languages was allowed to grow and stick around
