All right! I support that!
I also like liquid layouts. Why do you need a fixed width? I’d say: Go with a max-width if you like to control the line-length. But you don’t need to fix width for your logo: Both the log above and the stuff with the rounded corners can be broken into a left and a right image with some black background, block display and fixed height element in the background. With the right sort of CSS, you could have a liquid layout.
I think you also need to look at the goto bar. There seem to be two sorts of links: Home Page, About Me, Recent Changes, and categories of your blog. But closer examination shows that this is not quite true. Perhaps you can work on the naming and grouping. Use a bigger space between About Me and Photography? Shorten About Me to just About? Rename Found Cool Stuff to del.icio.us or Bookmarks? Stuff like that.

I’ll keep fiddling for the StyleSheet for quite a while yet, anod most likely go the max-width route; I considered it last night, but decided to leave it or a while before changing over. I’ve been burnt over browser compatibility problems when using max-width. That said, it’s most likely what I’ll end up using.
And I agree about the goto bar; I’m still thinking about a solution for that one
