But…but…Super Mario used to be so cute…

Is that marie on Emulation??? or did I not read the post right?
I prefer the good ol’ Mario Kart, ooh the joys of a mispent youth.
Have you every played Killer Instinct?
Do you even like fighting games???
I was really good at KI, although I do prefer a bit of Mortal Kombat, Soul Blade/Escalibur and DOA etc
Next thing I wanted to ask, nothing related to the Mario section, but I’m at my wits end.
Does anyone remember a film called “Explorers”
A group of kids (after some scientific meddling) create a “space ship” out of an old fair ground ride, name it “The Thunder road”, go into space, meet an alien, have a mini adventure before going back to earth and wrecking the craft.
The reason I ask is, I want it on DVD and after trying Ebay etc have found on VHS.

Nope. It’s not emulated, but a real game! Honest. Go on. Download it. I know you want to.
What game I play entirely depends on my mood. I’m kinda stuck between Sims 2 and Black on the PS2 right now. Strange mix, I know.
Soul Blade (running in PSX emulation under Linux) gets cranked up occassionally, as does Soulcalibur III on the PS2. Those games are good therapy after shopping
I’m guessing you mean Explorers from way back in 1985. I think you’d be lucky to get it on DVD; I’m not sure it’s even available in that format. Buy hey, stranger things have happened.
Yep. Thought so; lovefilm.com says it was never released as DVD. Sorry.

- But…but…Super? Mario used to be so cute…
Lol! In this game, he’s still cute. But you can jump on his head.

Whoops, I meant Soul Calibur, what was I thinking??/ Soul Escalibur indeed.
Well it was late!!!!
Never played Black, whats it about??? Is it on the same wave length as, say…Tom Clancey’s stuff?
As for SIMs, never played that either, what do you have to do??? never understood what its all about.

Black is a first-person shooter all about a Black Ops fighter. While it has similarities with Splnter Cell and the like, the game is much more action oriented than focused on stealth. And things blow up Real Good.
The link above is to the Gamespot review, btw. They weren’t overwhelmed by it, but I rate it as one of the best fps games out for the PS2. Sometimes I think Gamespot forgets that us regular gamers aren’t uber console junkies who can poslish off the World’s Hardest Games without breaking into a sweat like they can. The review says the game has only short-lived appeal – yet I’ve been playing for it for probably thirty hours now on and off, and only just come near to completing the second mission!
The game does lack a two-player mode of any kind. Some kind of deathmatch game using this engine would be awesome, but that’s my only criticism of the game.
Sims 2 on the other hand is…. well, that’s probably better covered lin a series of blogposts all of it’s own

How true this would be.
Don’t worry, its using my bandwidth…
