I’m curious about who will play Rose in the next season.

Totally disagree with your anaysis of ‘L&M’, I loved it, a wonderful breath of fresh air. But boy did it cause a schism at ‘Gallifrey One’.
Loved ‘AOG’ right from the wonderful pre credit sequence. Can’t wait for the shock horror cliffhanger ending to S2. And no, I don’t think that Rose will die in a ‘literal’ sense, but I think it’s a metaphor describing how she’s changed as a result of being within the Doctor’s sphere of influence.

That doesn’t surprise me one bit. I’d guess that Love & Monsters will end up being one of those episodes you either love or hate. And that really boils down to whether you like Peter Kay or not, sad to say.
On a lighter note, Army of Ghosts was just triffic, so that’s alright then

I did like Peter Kay in Phoenix Nights but has been overexposed and got on my nerves since. I didn’t much like the L&M episode – it seemed to be cobbled together to make all of the bits fit in there.
I have reservations about this Torchwood series – on the plus side it’s not a kids series like the K9 spin off years ago, but on the down side, the people involved in making it are used to making daytime family viewing TV so a post-watershed program will be a departure for them and I’m not sure how well they will adapt to that. If it survives past the first series it may get good. We’ll see though – when I first heard that Doctor Who was coming back I fully expected it to be awful – and when I heard that Billie Piper was playing the asistant I really really thought it was going to be awful. But I was wrong, it’s been really good for the most part, so there is probably hope for Torchwood.

I hope you’re right
