- “It’s always in the last place you look, isn’t it?”
Yes, of course it’s in the last place you look. I don’t know about you, but when I’ve found the thing I’m looking for, I stop looking! There’s nothing like stating the bloomin’ obvious.
I don’t think “oh, here’s my car keys. I’ll just check under the table, behind the couch and in the garden now.”, and can’t think of very many people who do.
That’s one phrase that is guaranteed to raise the hairs on the back of my neck like nothing else.
