We stood and looked out across the timeless vista half-hidden underneath the fog of humanity, the choking air sending involuntary spasms to the back of our throats. Below us lay the remains of once mighty nations, the ancestors of kings and conquerors, of philosophers and great inventors. Swimming in that festering gene pool was Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan and Aristotle. The pinnacle of breeding and interbreeding. How they had fallen.
