My dear Caruthers,
Multiple exposures from the bow of a ship are never easy. I had
encouraged our Russian Captain to moor here for the night as I erected my tripod. The Polish sailors joked that I was harpooning whales. This caused much merriment all round.
Out of over 40 exposures, these are the best three. I send them to you courtesy of a passing trawler who assures me that they will be mailed to you the following day. Please make use of them as you will.
